Wood Women Basso

The Joy of Wood is running Woodworking classes for Women, at the Bassendean Community Men’s Shed, in Perth, WA.

These workshops for women are taking place on most Tuesday Evenings, covering a wide range of woodworking skills, techniques, and projects. The workshops are open to any women from anywhere, from a minimum age of 12 upwards. Info and bookings at this link: http://www.trybooking.com/eventlist/woodwomenbasso

Beth made this Trivett in the workshop called “It’s All in the Marking Out”. Good joints require accurate marking out with square, marking knife, marking gauge, and pencil – followed by accurate sawing and chiselling. There is no glue in Beth’s Trivett. Just a nice tight press fit! Four accurate joints. Brilliant.

Special thanks to the Bassendean Community Men’s Shed for making their Shed available when they are not using it, like on Tuesday Evenings, and for their positive support for this program.
